Actually, it began as an experiment with my children while trying many ways to get them to communicate their feelings with me more. As they ventured into their teenage years, I noticed a distinct change in how much they shared what was going on in their lives with me, and as a parent, it concerned me deeply.

I tested the first QC Journal Kit with my 13 year old son by overflowing four pages with hand written communication. You can imagine my dismay when I saw his response was only four words!  Although his response was brief, it did not discourage me because I had accomplished my goal and he had listened to what I had to say.
