The beautiful artwork on each Quiet Conversations Journal Kit was created by New Hampshire artist Maureen L. Morey, and she just happens to be my Mother!

Maureen is an enthusiastic self-taught artist who turned an avocation into a profession while still in high school. Her interest in art began as a child while watching her father draw. She grew up in the country near a farm and in this setting acquired a knowledge and appreciation for nature.

Acrylic is her primary medium but her ability with pen and ink lead to helping numerous fundraising organizations; Ducks Unlimited, the Murdock High School Scholarship Fund and the NH Wildlife Federation have all benefited from her artwork.

Her talent is painting but her true gift lies in her ability to evoke a sense of joy and serenity in the beauty of nature that she so masterfully captures.
